MIDO is not a ready-made scheme, but real support tailored to the specific needs of investors, site conditions and contractors' expectations!
On 20–22 May 2025, MIDO had the honor of participating in the 31st International Fair of Machines and Equipment for Water Supply and Sewage WOD-KAN 2025, held at the Bydgoszcz Trade and Exhibition Centre (BCTW). It is one of the most important industry events in Poland, bringing together market leaders, designers, representatives of water utilities and specialists from across the country.
As the organizer of booth Z3 and the outdoor exhibit by the main entrance to the exhibition hall, MIDO was responsible for the full concept and organization of the trenchless technology presentation. We invited TERMA – a recognized manufacturer of construction machinery – to cooperate, with whom we jointly built a comprehensive and modern presentation space.
We primarily showcased our trenchless drilling services based on MIDO's proprietary technology – solutions that are not only environmentally friendly but above all fast, precise and non-invasive – allowing installations even from an existing Ø1000 manhole without the need to build a launch chamber, including in winter and in demanding ground conditions.
TERMA'S OFFER included:
🔹 Gravity drill – enabling precise execution of boreholes without the need for open excavation,
🔹 MAX pneumatic pipe ramming machines – models K180, K130, K95, K75, K75KS, K65 – known for reliability and effectiveness,
🔹 NEW! Next-generation hydraulic pipe ramming machine – a compact, controlled device that does not require a flushing system, equipped with a rod rotation system – a solution setting a new standard in trenchless technology.
In addition, we also presented modular pipes made of polypropylene (PP), which are a key component in trenchless construction and renovation of sewer networks.
PP pipes are characterized by high chemical resistance, covering a pH range from 2 to 12, which makes them resistant to the effects of municipal sewage, rainwater and groundwater. Thanks to their smooth internal surface, they minimize flow resistance and reduce the build-up of deposits, which translates into long-term efficiency of the sewer system.
The flexibility of PP pipes makes them more resistant to mechanical damage and stresses resulting from ground movement compared to traditional clay pipes. Additionally, their modular design allows easy connection of segments using precise locks and NBR gaskets, ensuring the tightness and durability of joints.
Modular PP pipes are particularly useful in locations with limited installation space, such as sewer manholes, where traditional installation methods are difficult. Their use enables quick and efficient installation work without the need to excavate the surface, which is in line with MIDO's ecological approach to implementing infrastructure projects.
Together with TERMA we presented the full spectrum of machines used in trenchless engineering. TERMA, as a manufacturer of construction machinery, complemented our offer with innovative ramming devices that facilitate the execution of complex field tasks. The joint presence was not only an opportunity to demonstrate product synergy but also an excellent example of cooperation between engineering companies on the Polish market.
Our booth attracted great interest from visitors – both investors and designers as well as representatives of water utility companies. The presentation of the new hydraulic ramming machine and the opportunity to discuss practical applications of the gravity drill drew particular attention. During the event there were also several important discussions – including with designers cooperating with the Toruń water utility, who declared they would consider our solutions in projects currently under implementation.
Participation in WOD-KAN 2025 was for us not only an opportunity to showcase our offer but above all proof of the growing importance of trenchless technology in modern water and sewage infrastructure.
